JD’s Steak Pit has opened its wooden doors since 1979! In 2007, the current ownership strived to keep it the same but made many changes throughout the years. Fort Lee has been vastly changing and we wanted to bring something unique to the community. So in 2015, we introduced American BBQ in a casual & comfortable atmosphere. We still kept those famous oven cooked Canadian Baby Back Ribs but now we have SMOKED SPARE RIBS cooked in our wood-smoker! Not to mention tender brisket, chorizo sausages, dark succulent chicken, and the ginormous BEEF RIBS! We have platters of BBQ which are great for groups and families. We upgraded our steaks to PRIME steaks all from a reputable butcher (Pat La Frieda Meats). Not only is our restaurant very meat focused but we have an extensive drinks list. From non-alcoholic drinks like the pomegranate lemonade, blood-orange ginger-beer, blackberry basil limeade TO spicy pineapple margaritas, peach sangrias, cucumber cocktails, craft beers (banana beers! bourbon beers! blueberry ales…!) ANNND….young easy to drink wines (rose, pinot grigios, viognier, shiraz, merlot, malbec, shiraz).
We have a relaxing garden patio with grape vines above…and some bird friends and occassionally squirrels and the neighborhood CAT.
